Importing the server certificate into a web browser for Lenovo XClarity Management Hub for edge-client devices

You can save a copy of the current server certificate, in PEM format, to your local system. You can then import the certificate into your web browser's list of trusted certificates or to other applications to avoid security warning messages from your web browser when you access Lenovo XClarity Management Hub.

Procedure

To import the server certificate into a web browser, complete the following steps.

  • Chrome
    1. Export the Lenovo XClarity Management Hub server certificate.
      1. Click the “Not secure” warning icon in the top address bar, for example:
        Not-secure warning icon in Chrome.
      2. Click Certificate is not valid to display the Certificate dialog.
      3. Click the Details tab.
      4. Click Export.
      5. Specify the name and location of the certificate file, and then Save to export the certificate.
      6. Close the Certificate Viewer dialog.
    2. Import the Lenovo XClarity Management Hub server certificate into the list of trusted root authority certificates for your browser.
      1. From your Chrome browser, click the three dots in the upper right corner of the window, and then, click Settings to open the Settings page.
      2. Click Privacy and Security, and then click Security to display the Security page.
      3. Scroll to the Advanced section, and then click Manage device certificates.
      4. Click Import, and click Next.
      5. Select the certificate file that you previous exported, and click Next.
      6. Choose where to store the certificate, and click Next.
      7. Click Finish.
      8. Close and reopen the Chrome browser, and then open Lenovo XClarity Management Hub.
  • Firefox
    1. Export the Lenovo XClarity Management Hub server certificate.
      1. Click the “Not secure” warning icon in the top address bar, for example:

      2. Click Connection Not Secured, and then click More information.
      3. Click View Certificate.
      4. Scroll down to the Miscellaneous section, and click the PEM (cert) link to save the file to the local system.
    2. Import the Lenovo XClarity Management Hub server certificate into the list of trusted root authority certificates for your browser.
      1. Open the browser, and click Tools > Settings, and then click Privacy & Security.
      2. Scroll down to the Security section.
      3. Click View certificates to display the Certificate Manager dialog.
      4. Click the Your Certificates tab.
      5. Click Import, and browse to the location where the certificate was downloaded.
      6. Select the certificate, and click Open.
      7. Close the Certificate Manager dialog.
