GPU configuration in the 2U GPU tray

The following table displays the GPU configuration in the 2U GPU tray.

Note
Use only GPU adapters of the same type in the 2U GPU tray.

There are 2 options supported for 2U GPU tray. The options will only be available when 2 microprocessors and 2U GPU tray installed.

  • Enable GPU-to-GPU Traffic Optimized Mode

If this option is enabled, the first microprocessor is able to support three or more GPU adapters with the internal PCIe bridge cable.

  • Disable GPU-to-GPU Traffic Optimized Mode

If this option is disabled, each microprocessor is able to support two GPU adapters when both microprocessor are installed.
    Note
The default GPU-to-GPU Traffic Optimized Mode is enabled. If the GPU-to-GPU Traffic Optimized Mode is disabled, the PCIe bridge cable (see Parts listing, Lenovo NeXtScale nx360 M5 compute node for the FRU part number) must be removed.
