Monitoring resources and activities

You can use Lenovo SDI Management Platform to monitor asset inventories, firmware and configuration compliance, health status, and event history of you managed devices.

Viewing the summary of a cluster environment The dashboard is the hub of Lenovo SDI Management Platform, which provides access to information that is important to you. It contains report cards that each summarize the status of resources and activities in your environment, including device health, compliance, and alerts.

Viewing the large screen Large screen is another display form of the dashboard. It is specially designed for 4K monitors (3840 x 2160) or monitors with higher resolutions to help users better understand the resource usage of Lenovo SDI Management Platform. It provides an overview of cluster information, including the CPU, memory, storage, alerts, and performance data of a cluster.

Viewing resource manager status and details You can view the type, version, status, and connectivity of each resource manager.

Monitoring jobs Jobs are long-running tasks that run in the background. You can view the logs of all jobs that are started by Lenovo SDI Management Platform.

Monitoring active alerts Alerts are hardware or manager events that require investigation and user action. Lenovo SDI Management Platform polls the resource managers asynchronously and displays alerts that are received from those managers.

Handling triggered alerts Handle triggered alerts on VMware vCenter.

Monitoring events From Lenovo SDI Management Platform, you have access to a history list of all resource and audit events.

Forwarding data to external applications You can forward event, inventory, and metric data from Lenovo SDI Management Platform to external applications so that you can monitor and analyze that data easily.
