Installing and configuring Lenovo SDI Management Platform
The initial setup of Lenovo SDI Management Platform involves installing the Lenovo SDI Management Platform virtual appliance, configuring Lenovo SDI Management Platform (including authentication, network, date and time, and security settings), and connecting resource managers.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have reviewed the prerequisites for Lenovo SDI Management Platform, including hardware requirements and recommendations (see Supported hardware and software).
Ensure that all appropriate ports are enabled, including those required by Lenovo SDI Management Platform (see Port availability).
Ensure that the resource managers that you intend to manage are supported and are at the required version levels (see Supported hardware and software).
Setting up Lenovo SDI Management Platform on a local system Install the Lenovo SDI Management Platform virtual appliance on a system in your local environment.
Configuring Lenovo SDI Management Platform for the first time When you access Lenovo SDI Management Platform for the first time, there are several steps that you must complete to initially set it up.
Applying Lenovo SDI Management Platform licenses Lenovo SDI Management Platform is a paid application. A free trial license provides free use of Lenovo SDI Management Platform for up to 90 days. However, after the free trial expires, you must purchase and install a license to continue using applicable Lenovo SDI Management Platform functions and to get platform services and technical support.
Updating Lenovo SDI Management Platform Upgrade the Lenovo SDI Management Platform software.
Uninstalling Lenovo SDI Management Platform Uninstall the Lenovo SDI Management Platform virtual appliance using the virtual machine management tools.
