(Optional) Installing Lenovo XClarity Integrator for VMware vCenter.

Lenovo SDI Management Platform is integrated with VMware vSphere Lifecycle Manager and supports integrated lifecycle management of VMware ESXi hosts. Lenovo XClarity Integrator for VMware vCenter is a Lenovo hardware support manager supported by VMware vSphere Lifecycle Manager. To use the cluster host upgrade function of Lenovo SDI Management Platform, you must install Lenovo XClarity Integrator for VMware vCenter.

Procedure​

To install and configure Lenovo XClarity Integrator for VMware vCenter, complete the following steps:

  1. Download the installation image from the Lenovo XClarity Integrator for VMware vCenter product page.

  2. Install Lenovo XClarity Integrator for VMware vCenter on VMware vCenter (see Installing Lenovo XClarity Integrator).

  3. Register Lenovo XClarity Integrator with the vCenter server (see Register Lenovo XClarity Integrator).

  4. Configure Lenovo XClarity Integrator for VMware vCenter (see Configuring Lenovo XClarity Integrator).

  5. Enable Lenovo XClarity Integrator as the hardware support manager for vSphere Lifecycle Manager (see Enabling/disabling vSphere Lifecycle Manager).
