RAID flash power module (supercap) cable routing

Follow the instructions in this section to learn how to do cable routing for the RAID flash power module (supercap).

This section provides cable routing instruction for RAID flash power module extension cable (supercap cable), 330mm.

Note

Install the RAID flash power module when ThinkSystem RAID 940-8i 4GB Flash PCIe Gen4 12Gb Adapter is installed.

Complete the following procedure to route the cables properly.

Procedure

1. Connect the extension cable to 1 RAID flash power module.
2. Secure the extension cable in cable clip C.
3. Proceed to connect the cable to the 940-9i RAID adapter on PCIe riser assembly, and install the assembly. See Install the PCIe riser assembly.
