Install the air baffle

Use this information to install the air baffle.

  • Power off the server and disconnect all power cords for this task.

Procedure
Note
The illustrated air baffle is a standard air baffle. The installation method is the same for the GPU air baffle. For more information, see Install a GPU adapter.

  1. Refer to Technical rules to select the appropriate air baffle for your server.
  2. (Optional) If the 1U standard heat sink or T-shape performance heat sink is installed, install the air baffle filler to fill the gap between the heat sink and the air baffle.
    Note
    The following illustration shows the air baffle upside down.

  3. Align the tabs on both sides of the air baffle with the corresponding slots on both sides of the chassis. Then, lower the air baffle into the chassis and press the air baffle down until it is securely seated.

After you finish

  1. Reconnect cables of RAID flash power modules if you have disconnected them. See RAID flash power module.

  2. Reconnect cables of the M.2 backplane if you have disconnected them. See M.2 drives.

  3. If you have removed a GPU adapter, reinstall it. See Install a GPU adapter.

  4. Complete the parts replacement. See Complete the parts replacement.
