Use this information to remove a 1.8-inch hot-swap solid state drive.
To remove a 1.8-inch hot-swap solid state drive, complete the following steps:
- Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
- Remove the filler panel. Keep the filler panel in a safe place.
- Press the release latch (orange) gently to unlock the drive handle.

- Pull the tray handle until the handle stops.
- Slide the drive out of the drive bay.
- Rotate the tray handle to the closed (locked) position.
- Reinstall the filler panel.
- If you are instructed to return the drive assembly, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
