Mirror consistency group - synchronization threshold exceeded
The synchronization process of an asynchronous mirror consistency group has exceeded an alert threshold setting.
The synchronization alert threshold is a notification that is triggered when the synchronization of all of the volumes within the mirror consistency group takes longer than the defined time set by the alert threshold.
If this problem is occurring frequently, you should run a communication test to diagnose potential network problems between the storage arrays involved in the mirroring relationship. The synchronization settings and alert thresholds associated with the mirror consistency group should also be evaluated to determine if the settings are appropriate for the mirroring configuration.
Recovery Steps
Run a communication test to check the network performance between the two storage arrays.
Go to . Then, select the Mirror Consistency Groups tab.
Highlight the affected mirror consistency group shown in the Details area.
Select Test Communication. It may be necessary to run the tests in different combinations to diagnose the problem.
Ensure that the synchronization and alert settings are appropriate for your mirroring configuration.
Go to . Then, select the Mirror Consistency Groups tab.
Highlight the affected mirror consistency group shown in the Details area.
Select Edit settings under More and adjust the settings appropriately.
Select Clear to clear this problem.
Select Recheck to ensure the problem has been resolved.
