Remove the dust filter

Follow instructions in this section to remove the dust filter.

Procedure

  1. Make preparation for this task.
    1. Remove the security bezel. See Remove the security bezel.
  2. Remove the dust filter.
    1. Press the release latch.
    2. Rotate the dust filter away from the security bezel.
    Note
    For optimal server operation, make sure to install a replacement dust filter.

After this task is completed

  • Install a replacement unit. See Install the dust filter.

  • If you are instructed to return the component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
