Install the security bezel

Follow instructions in this section to install the security bezel.

Important

When installing the security bezel for the first time, the key that is required to lock the security bezel is stored at the location as illustrated:

Procedure

1. Make preparation for this task.
   1. Make sure the following components are installed properly:

      • Air flow sensor board (see Install the air flow sensor board)

      • Bezel detect switch with cable (see Install the bezel detect switch with cable)

      • Security bezel keylock bracket (see Install the security bezel keylock bracket)

   2. Connect the power cable and other necessary external cables to the node.
   3. Power on the server and any peripheral devices. See Power on the server.
   Note

   When the security bezel is installed, the buttons and connectors on the front of the server are not accessible.
2. If the security bezel slot fillers are installed, remove the fillers. See Front I/O fillers to identify the fillers.
3. Align the bottom guide pins of the security bezel with the slots on the chassis, and insert the bezel hooks in the slots on both sides.
   Note

   Make sure that the external cables go through both sides of the security bezel.

4. Lock the security bezel with the key, and store the key for future use.
