Remove the TPM adapter

Use this information to remove the TPM adapter.

Before removing the TPM adapter, remove the top cover. See Remove the top cover.

To remove the TPM adapter, complete the following steps:

  1. Locate the TPM connector on the system board.
  2. Press and hold the release latch, and then lift the TPM adapter straight up.
    Note

    • Carefully handle the TPM adapter by its edges.

    • Your TPM adapter might look slightly different from the illustration.

If you are instructed to return the old TPM adapter, follow all packaging instructions and use any packaging materials that are provided.
