The following are rules to be followed when the server is configured with Ethernet adapters.

When the processor default TDP is 280 watts :
- Ethernet adapters with AOC are not supported in PCIe slot 2.
- 10/25 GbE Ethernet adapters are supported when standard fans are installed.
- 100/200 GbE Ethernet adapters are supported when performance fans are installed.
- 10/25 GbE Ethernet adapters with AOC are supported in PCIe slot 1 or 3 when the ambient temperature is less than 30°C.
- 100/200 GbE Ethernet adapters are supported in PCIe slot 1 or 3 when the ambient temperature is less than 30°C.
When the processor default TDP is equal to or less than 225 watts:
- 100/200 GbE Ethernet adapters are supported when performance fans are installed.
- 100/200 GbE Ethernet adapters are supported when the ambient temperature is less than 30°C.

Note

The following adapters require a full-height bracket and must be installed in a full-height slot:
