Power on the server

First connect the power cords to the secondary chassis, then connect the power cords to the primary chassis. After the server performs a short self-test (power status LED flashes quickly) when connected to input power, it enters a standby state (power status LED flashes once per second).

Note
It is recommended to connect PSU P1-P3/S1-S3 to a PDU different from PSU P4-P6/S4-S6 in case of PDU failure.

The server can be turned on (power LED on) in any of the following ways:
  • You can press the power button.

  • The server can restart automatically after a power interruption.

  • The server can respond to remote power-on requests sent to the Lenovo XClarity Controller.
