Removing a blade server

To remove a blade server, open the release handles and slide it out of the BladeCenter S chassis.

Attention
  • To maintain proper system cooling, do not operate the BladeCenter S system without a blade server, expansion unit, or blade server filler installed in each blade server bay. Install a blade server, expansion unit, or filler within one minute of the removal of a blade server.
  • Note the bay number. Reinstalling a blade server into a different bay from the one from which it was removed could have unintended consequences. Some configuration information and update options are established according to bay number.
