Install a RAID flash power module to the holder

Follow the instructions in this section to install a RAID flash power module to the holder.

CAUTION

The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.

Attention

• Read Installation Guidelines and Safety inspection checklist to ensure that you work safely.

• Power off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables. See Power off the server.

• Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.

Procedure

1. Connect the extension cable to the RAID flash power module.
   Note

   • Make sure that the extension cable is secured in cable clip C.

2. Install the RAID flash power module.
   1. Insert the RAID flash power module into the holder with the orientation shown in the illustration. Make sure that the end of the module is placed as shown.
   2. Pull back the retention clips; meanwhile, press the cable side of the flash power module down until it is seated in place.
