Install the internal riser card

Use this information to install the internal riser card.

Power off the server for this task

ATTENTION: Static Sensitive Device Ground package before opening

To install the internal riser kit, complete the following steps:

1. Install the internal riser card onto the riser bracket.
   1. Align the holes in the riser card with the mounting studs on the bracket.
   2. Install the two screws to secure the riser card to the bracket.

2. Reinstall the PCIe adapter on the new riser card.
   1. Open the blue latch on the riser bracket.
   2. Slide the PCIe adapter into the PCIe slot on the riser card.
   3. Close the blue latch to secure the PCIe adapter.

3. Install the riser assembly into the chassis.

4. Reconnect any cables to the PCIe adapter. See Riser cards.
