Remove a GPU adapter

Procedure

1. Make preparation for this task.
   1. Remove the front top cover. See Remove the front top cover.
   2. Remove the rear top cover. See Remove the rear top cover.
   3. Remove the PCIe riser where the single-wide GPU adapter has been installed. See Remove a PCIe riser.
2. Remove the single-wide GPU adapter.
   1. Disconnect the power cable from the GPU adapter.
   2. Gently lift the PCIe retainer on the PCIe riser card and slide it to the unlocked position.
   3. Remove the screw that secure the GPU adapter to the PCIe riser.
   4. Grasp the GPU adapter by its edges and carefully pull it out of the PCIe slot.

Procedure

   3. Remove the PCIe riser where the double-wide GPU adapter has been installed. See Remove a PCIe riser.
2. Remove the double-wide GPU adapter.
   1. Disconnect the power cable from the GPU adapter.
   2. Gently lift the PCIe retainer on the riser card and slide it to the unlocked position.
   3. Remove the two screws that secure the GPU adapter to the PCIe riser.
   4. Grasp the GPU adapter by its edges and carefully pull it out of the PCIe slot.
