RAID flash power module replacement

RAID flash power modules are in the upper and lower trays that are accessed from the front of the server. Procedures for removing and installing RAID flash power modules in the upper and lower trays are different.

  • Remove a RAID flash power module (upper tray)
    The upper RAID flash power module is in the upper compute tray or optional storage tray that is accessed from the front of the server. After removing the upper tray and fan cage, disconnect the RAID flash power module cable; then, remove the module from the compute tray.
  • Remove a RAID flash power module (lower tray)
    The lower RAID flash power module is in the lower compute tray that is accessed from the front of the server. After removing the lower compute tray and fan cage, disconnect the RAID flash power module cable; then, remove the module from the compute tray.
  • Install a RAID flash power module (upper tray)
    The upper RAID flash power module is in the upper compute tray or optional storage tray that is accessed from the front of the server. Insert the RAID flash power module in its carrier; then, connect the cable.
  • Install a RAID flash power module (lower tray)
    The lower RAID flash power module is in the lower compute tray that is accessed from the front of the server. Insert the RAID flash power module in its carrier; then, connect the cable.
