Remove a RAID flash power module (lower tray)

The lower RAID flash power module is in the lower compute tray that is accessed from the front of the server. After removing the lower compute tray and fan cage, disconnect the RAID flash power module cable; then, remove the module from the compute tray.

CAUTION
The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.
CAUTION
Make sure that all server power cords are disconnected from their power sources before performing this procedure.
Before you remove a lower RAID flash power module:
  1. Remove the front cover. See Remove the front cover.

  2. Remove the lower compute tray or extract it to the maintenance position. See Remove a compute tray.

  3. Remove the lower fan cage. See Remove a fan cage (lower tray).

  4. Locate the RAID flash power module in the compute tray.

Complete the following steps to remove a lower RAID flash power module.

  1. Press the release tab and rotate the RAID flash power module upward.
  2. Disconnect the cable from the RAID flash power module.
  3. Remove the RAID flash power module from the compute tray.

If you are instructed to return the RAID flash power module, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
