Manage resources

Through the ThinkAgile CP Cloud Controller, infrastructure admin users can add, register, monitor, and modify settings for the network, compute, and storage hardware resources associated with an organization.

Note

Infrastructure viewer users can monitor hardware resources, but they cannot make any changes to those resources.

• Monitor resources in the Dashboard
  The Dashboard page in the Cloud Controller shows the resources that are available to VDCs or to the entire organization, depending on the user role of the account that is accessing the Cloud Controller.
• View hardware
  From the ThinkAgile CP Cloud Controller, infrastructure admin and infrastructure viewer users can view the hardware resources for an organization.
• Register hardware
  When you add new hardware to your environment you must register it in the ThinkAgile CP Cloud Controller management portal. If you are adding hardware or setting up ThinkAgile CP for the first time and have not already registered your compute and storage hardware, as described in the ThinkAgile CP Deployment Guide, you should do so now.
• View hardware and software version numbers
  You can view the version of software running on the ThinkAgile CP Cloud Controller cloud controller. Infrastructure admin and infrastructure viewer users can also view the version of software running on the interconnect switches, compute nodes, and storage blocks.
• Manage a stack
  In ThinkAgile CP, a stack consists of up to two interconnect switches, one or more compute blocks, and one or more storage blocks. Infrastructure admin users can choose to rename a stack or to set the hardware management password for the compute blocks and the storage blocks in the stack.
