Register hardware

When you add new hardware to your environment you must register it in the ThinkAgile CP Cloud Controller management portal. If you are adding hardware or setting up ThinkAgile CP for the first time and have not already registered your compute and storage hardware, as described in the ThinkAgile CP Deployment Guide, you should do so now.

To register hardware, you must log in to the ThinkAgile CP Cloud Controller management console as an infrastructure admin user. For more information about theinfrastructure admin user role, see the following topic:

Infrastructure admin

• Register a compute node
  New compute hardware that is connected to the interconnect switch is automatically detected and displayed on the Hardware page in the ThinkAgile CP Cloud Controller and is ready for registration. Infrastructure admin users can register the new hardware.
• Register a storage block
  New storage hardware that is connected to the interconnect switch is automatically detected and displayed on the Hardware page and is ready for registration. Infrastructure admin users can register the new hardware.
