Removing the operator information panel assembly

Use this information to remove the operator information panel assembly.

Read the safety information in Safety and Installation guidelines.

If you are replacing a server component in the server, you need to turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords and all external cables.

To remove the operator information panel assembly, complete the following steps.
  1. Unlock and remove the left-side cover (see Removing the left-side cover).
  2. Remove the air baffle (see Removing the air baffle).
  3. Remove the fan cage assembly (see Removing the fan cage assembly).
  4. Disconnect the operator information panel assembly cable from the system board (see System-board internal connectors).
  5. Locate the operator information panel assembly release latch just above the DVD drive.

  6. Pull out and rotate the release latch of the operator information panel assembly to release it from the server.
