Hub features enablement
You can allow or prevent each hub from performing certain functions.
Management functions
Lenovo XClarity One leverages hubs to perform management functions on managed devices. You can control whether to allow XClarity One and XClarity One Hub to perform management function on your devices. If all management functions are disabled, managed device are only monitor, and no changes can be made on the devices.
All functions are disabled by default.
When you disable a function from the XClarity One portal, the function is disabled on the portal and on all hubs in the organization.
When you enable a function from the XClarity One portal, the function is enabled only in the portal. Be aware that the XClarity One portal settings might not match the setting on the hubs. It is your responsibly to enable the function on each hub.
Device power actions. This function is used to power on, power off, and restart managed devices through the XClarity One portal.
Firmware updates. This function is used to push and update firmware on managed devices.
NoteWhen this option is disabled, you can continue to useXClarity One manage the firmware repository, create templates with firmware rules and assign to devices, and monitor devices for compliance. NoteWhen this option is disabled, you can continue to use to manage the operating-system repository, create templates with OS profiles and assign to devices, and monitor devices for compliance. For more information, seeOperating systems. Remote Server Access. This function is used to launch a remote session for managed devices.
Remote Server Console Access. This function is used to view and interact with the server console for managed devices and to mount a disk image (ISO or IMG file) as a virtual drive on the device. For more information, see Remote sever access.
