Before you begin

Make sure that you review the requirements for Migration Manager before you begin to set up and use Migration Manager.

  • Software prerequisites
    The ThinkAgile CP Migration Manager requires the following software.
  • Application Template Requirements
    Migration Manager is packaged as a template in the Lenovo Cloud Marketplace, called ThinkAgile CP Migration Manager. You need to download the template to the organization template store where you are performing the migration, and then deploy the ThinkAgile CP Migration Manager Console application.
  • Network and firewall requirements
    Migration Manager requires NFS v3 connectivity between the Migration Manager instance and your storage controllers for template deployments. Note that firewall rules may need to change.
  • Notes about Windows Datacenter or Enterprise Editions
    Windows guests running Datacenter or Enterprise editions should expect to need to use Disk Manager to "online" non-boot disks, in accordance to the operating system's default storage policy.
