Manage instance modes and guest agents

Infrastructure admin users and VDC manager users can manage the mode selected for an application instance and whether or not to install guest agent tools for an instance.

• Understand instance modes
  An application instance can boot in either of these two modes: Compatibility or Enhanced. Instance modes are dependent on whether the guest operating system has paravirtualized drivers installed. Installing KVM paravirtualized drivers (that is, VirtIO) enables higher disk and network performance within an instance.
• Install guest agent tools
  Infrastructure admin users and VDC manager users can install guest agent tools.
• Remove guest agent tools
  Infrastructure admin users and VDC manager users can remove guest agent tools from an application instance.
