Use this information to remove the operator information panel assembly.

If you are replacing a server component in the server, you need to turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords and all external cables.
To remove the operator information panel assembly, complete the following steps.
- Unlock and remove the left-side cover (see Removing the left-side cover).
- Remove the air baffle (see Removing the air baffle).
- Remove the fan cage assembly (see Removing the fan cage assembly).
- Disconnect the drive cables from the back of the drive bay 1.
- Remove the DVD drive (see Removing a DVD drive) or the tape drive (see Removing an optional tape drive) which is installed in drive bay 1.
- Disconnect the operator information panel assembly cable from the system board (see System-board internal connectors).
- Locate the operator information panel assembly release latch just above the DVD drive.
