Replacing the front video connector assembly

Use this information to replace the front video connector assembly.

To install the front video connector assembly, complete the following steps:

  1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
  2. From inside the media cage, insert the front video connector assembly into the holes on the cage; then, install the screws to secure the assembly to the cage.
    Note
    Refer to the illustration that applies to your particular server configuration.

    Eight 2.5-inch hot-swap or simple-swap hard disk drive server configuration:

    Ten 2.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drive server configuration:

  3. Carefully push the media cage back into the chassis (see Replacing the media cage). Remember to reconnect the cables that were removed from the system board.
  4. Reinstall the cover (see Replacing the cover).
  5. Slide the server into the rack.
  6. Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
  7. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
