Establishing a remote control session with a server
You can establish a remote control session with a managed server just as if you were working on the local console. In this way, you can manage the server.
Before you begin
Ensure that you are a member of a user group to which the predefined Supervisor role is assigned.
Ensure that the managed server is in a normal state and connected. For more information about how to view the status of a server, see Viewing device details.

You can start a remote control session with a single server.

Procedure
To establish a remote control session with the server, complete the following steps:
- From the Lenovo SDI Management Platform menu bar, click Resources > Hardware. All servers managed will be listed.
- Select the server to be controlled remotely.
- Click the Start Remote Control icon (
). - Accept any security warnings in your web browser.
