Requirements for setting up quick DR backups
Review the following requirements for setting up quick DR backups in the ThinkAgile CP Cloud Controller.
Two storage pools that are both connected to the same virtual datacenter are required.
A network route is required between storage blocks on each site. The network route must be set up so that the storage node IP addresses and the storage block virtual IP addresses can communicate.
NoteBy default, all disaster recovery transfers occur over port 34341.
To view the virtual IP address for the storage block, navigate to the storage block section of the Hardware page and click Show Virtual IPs.
The storage node IP addresses and the storage block virtual IP addresses are assigned via DHCP (not statically). Therefore, they are subject to change. If the network route is only set up between the current IP addresses and those IP addresses change, disaster recovery will fail. Because of this, you should consider setting up the route between the ThinkAgile CP Cloud Controller physical subnets.
On the Hardware page under each router, click Show Network Settings; the IP Range under Router Physical Network is the range of IP addresses that should be used when creating network routes (that is, the Router Physical Network IP Range on one site should have a network route to the Router Physical Network IP Range on the other site.).
