Cannot log in to XClarity Orchestrator
Use this information to troubleshoot issues when logging in to XClarity Orchestrator
- Ensure that the password is correct and that the Caps Lock and Number Lock keys are not on.
- Ensure that the user account is not locked. If it is locked, wait for the lockout period to expire and attempt to log in again. The default lockout period is 60 minutes.
- If you are using an external LDAP authentication server, and if you changed the password for the user account that is used to bind XClarity Orchestrator to the LDAP server, ensure that you also updated the new password in XClarity Orchestrator.
- Log in to XClarity Orchestrator using the client name and password that is currently defined in XClarity Orchestrator (see Setting up an external LDAP authentication server).
- From the XClarity Orchestrator menu bar, click and then click LDAP Client in the left navigation.
- Update the password in the Client password field, and click Apply changes.
If the user account is locked out due to too many failed login attempts after the password was changed in LDAP server, either unlock the account directly in the external authentication server or wait for the lockout period to expire before trying to change the password in XClarity Orchestrator.
- If the password for the client account that is used to bind XClarity Orchestrator to the external authentication server has expired, perform the following steps to unlock the account and change the password in XClarity Orchestrator.
- Unlock the client account and then change the client password in the external authentication server.
- Log in to XClarity Orchestrator using the client name and password that is currently defined in XClarity Orchestrator (see Setting up an external LDAP authentication server).
- From the XClarity Orchestrator menu bar, click and then click LDAP Client in the left navigation
- Update the password in the Client password field, and click Apply.
- If the host operating system shut down unexpectedly, and you are now getting an authentication error, restore XClarity Orchestrator from the last backup.
