Install a super capacitor module on the internal riser kit

Use this information to install a super capacitor module on the internal riser kit.

Power off the server for this task

ATTENTION: Static Sensitive Device Ground package before opening

Before installing the RAID super capacitor module on the internal riser kit, touch the static-protective package that contains the new RAID super capacitor module to any unpainted surface on the outside of the server. Then, take the new RAID super capacitor module out of the package and place it on a static-protective surface.

To install a super capacitor module, complete the following steps:

1. Install the M.2/riser support bracket.
   1. Align the notches on the M.2/riser support bracket with the pins on the chassis, and put the support bracket in place as shown.
   2. Fasten the screw.

2. Install two super capacitor holders.

3. Install the super capacitor module.
   1. Open the retention clip on the super capacitor holder.
   2. Put a super capacitor module into the holder.
   3. Press super capacitor module down to secure it into the holder.

4. Connect the super capacitor module to an adapter with the extension cable that comes with the super capacitor module. See RAID super capacitor modules.
