Removing the SD adapter

Use this information to remove the SD adapter. The VMware ESXi embedded hypervisor software is available on the SD adapter.

To remove the SD adapter, complete the following steps:
  1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
  2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords.
  3. Remove the cover (see Removing the cover).
  4. If necessary, remove PCI riser-card assembly 2 (see Removing a PCI riser-card assembly).
  5. Loosen the two screws.
  6. Lift the SD adapter out of the server.
  7. Remove the SD cards.

If you are instructed to return the SD adapter, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
