Removing an adapter from the rear two hard-disk-drive kit

Use this information to remove an adapter from the rear two hard-disk-drive kit.

You can only install SeveRAID-H1110 adapter in the rear two hard-disk-drive kit.

To remove an adapter, complete the following steps:

  1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
  2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords; then, remove the cover (see Removing the cover).
  3. Remove the rear two hard-disk-drive kit that contains the adapter (see Removing the rear two hard-disk-drive kit).

  4. Disconnect any cables from the adapter (make note of the cable routing, in case you reinstall the adapter later).
  5. Carefully grasp the adapter by its top edge or upper corners, and pull the adapter from the rear two hard-disk-drive kit.
  6. If you are instructed to return the adapter, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
