Removing the power paddle card

Use this information to remove the power paddle card.

To remove the power paddle card, complete the following steps:

  1. Read the safety information that begins on Safety and Installation guidelines.
  2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables, if necessary.
  3. Pull power supply 2 slightly out of the rear of the server, just enough to disengage it from the server.
  4. Remove the cover (see Removing the cover).
  5. Remove the power paddle card cover (see Removing the power paddle card cover).
  6. Remove the two screws from the power paddle card and lift it out of the server.

If you are instructed to return the power paddle card, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
