Supported operating-systems
Lenovo XClarity One supports the deployment of specific operating-systems. You can import only supported operating-system versions into the XClarity One.
The following table lists the operating systems that XClarity One can deploy.

Microsoft Windows Server | 2025 | Supported images are available for download from the Microsoft Download Center website with proper subscription.
Both the retail and volume license copies are supported. You must physically remove the embedded hypervisor key from the target servers before deploying a Windows image. |
Ubuntu Server | 24.04.x | Supported images are available for download from the Ubuntu download webpages. The image can be installed on the selected storage option (local disk drive, M.2 drive, or FC SAN volume). VLAN tagging is not supported. Out-of-box drivers are not supported. OS profile customization is not supported. |
VMware vSphere® Hypervisor (ESXi) | 9.0.x 8.0U3 8.0U2 | Only Lenovo VMware ESXi Custom images are supported. These images are customized for select hardware to give you online platform management, including updating and configuring firmware, platform diagnostics, and enhanced hardware alerts. Supported images are available for download from the VMware Support – Downloads webpage.
You are responsible for meeting all VMware licensing requirements. If you are deploying ESXi to a server that has vSAN partitions, ensure that you manually clear the partitions in advance. |
