Work with vDisks

You can add a vDisk, add a vDisk clone, resize a vDisk, and modify IOPS and bandwidth limits.

  • Add a vDisk
    Infrastructure admin users and VDC manager users can add additional virtual disks to an application instance.
  • Add a vDisk clone
    Adding a vDisk clone from a backup is a way to attach the vDisk to an application instance from a backup of the application instance. Infrastructure admin users and VDC manager users can add a vDisk clone to an application instance.
  • Resize a vDisk
    Infrastructure admin users and VDC manager users can increase the size of a virtual disk that is available for an application instance.
  • Modify IOPS and bandwidth limits
    You can easily specify quality of service limits for individual application instances by defining limits for IOPS and Bandwidth. To modify vDisk IOPS and bandwidth limits for an application instance, follow these steps. If you are a VDC manager user, you can set these limits for the application instances in the virtual datacenters to which you have access. Infrastructure admin users can set these limits for any application instance.
