Thermal rules
This topic provides thermal rules for the server.
Server models with front drive bays only (standard configuration)
Server models with front drive bays only (E3.S configuration)
Install the DIMM dummy for the empty DIMM slot.
When the server is installed with rear M.2 NVMe/SATA drive or front M.2 NVMe drive assembly, users must install an M.2 drive heat sink.
If one processor is installed, at least three fan-packs should be installed.
Users can replace the standard fans with high-performance or ultra fans for the server models not installing with Compute Complex Neptune Core Module.
Users can replace the standard heat sinks with high-performance heat sinks for all configurations.
