Thermal rules
This topic provides thermal rules for the server.
- Server models with front drive bays only (standard configuration) 
- Server models with front drive bays only (E3.S configuration) 
- Install the DIMM dummy for the empty DIMM slot. 
- When the server is installed with rear M.2 NVMe/SATA drive or front M.2 NVMe drive assembly, users must install an M.2 drive heat sink. 
- If one processor is installed, at least three fan-packs should be installed. 
- Users can replace the standard fans with high-performance or ultra fans for the server models not installing with Compute Complex Neptune Core Module. 
- Users can replace the standard heat sinks with high-performance heat sinks for all configurations.
