Recovery Steps
Is the used capacity being reported by the host's operating system significantly less than the used capacity reported in the ThinkSystem System Manager?
If yes, issue a SCSI UNMAP command from the host to reclaim the excess capacity from the thin volume's repository. If this problem persists after the Thin Capacity Reclamation operation has completed, go to step 2.
If no, go to step 2.
Does the pool associated with the thin volume have free capacity available?
If yes, go to step 4.
If no, go to step 3.
Expand the capacity of the pool by adding drives or obtaining additional free capacity by deleting any unneeded volumes.
Increase the allocated capacity limit.
Go to Thin Volume Monitoring tab.
. Then, select theHighlight the affected thin volume shown in the Details area.
Select Change Limit and increase the allocated capacity limit if it is currently at a value lower than the reported capacity for the thin volume. .
Select Recheck to ensure the problem has been resolved.
